Hi! Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Rachel Toperzer, and thank you for stopping by. I was born and raised in Lynchburg, Va. but I've called Vero Beach home since 2015; when I moved after graduating college to assist in caring for my grandmother. I grew up visiting the area to see my grandparents and have always loved our little town. I met my now husband not long after moving, and we couldn't think of a better place to raise our kids.
As the mom of two toddlers, I can understand and appreciate the challenges that come with raising them. Why is my child behaving like this? Why does my child have anger outbursts? Can my child have anxiety even if they are four? I believe the earlier you can teach your child emotional regulation skills, coping strategies, how to learn and identify possible triggers, etc., the more success your child will have in life.
I specialize in providing infant, early childhood, and adolescent mental health therapy services. I primarily help children who suffer from trauma, anxiety, and/or depression. I provide caregivers with support and skills to help them parent and work with their child’s unique needs. Life is chaotic and often difficult to understand. I help children learn and appreciate their big emotions. Trauma can look different in all children. With the right tools, you and your child can recover and learn to move forward from it.
